Why add bacon when you can add both bacon AND garlic? This easy roasted asparagus gives rich flavor to a simple green veggie.

Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/4 pounds asparagus

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Slice the bacon into 1/4 inch wide strips.
  4. Crush and finely mince the garlic.
  5. Trim the rough ends from the asparagus and arrange the spears on the baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle the bacon and minced garlic over the asparagus.
  7. Roast the asparagus for 10-15 minutes on the middle rack of oven.
  8. Remove the asparagus from the oven when the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crisp.
  9. Serve immediately.

It was quick and easy. Very flavorful. I would reccomend thinner cut bacon. As my thick cut bacon took to long to cook and the asparagus was overcooked to my taste.
Had to cook it much longer. But still tastes good with very few ingredients. Needed something more tho for sauce
