My cake turned out Fantabulous!!!!! I had to cut me a piece and hide it because my family was eating it up too fast lol!! I’m making another one now a bigger one!!

I have been making this pound cake for years! I found the original recipe in the Atlanta Journal in the early 60's, though the it was called a "whipped cream pound cake". In spite of what itis called, it's a great cake: alone, with fruit, ice cream, even frosted! And it is especially delicious toasted with butter and a morning cuppa tea or coffee. While the recipe calls f0r 1 tsp vanilla, I like to make it with 1\2 tsp vanilla extract and 1\2 tsp lemon extract.

Very, very yummy and moist pound cake! Mines came out as pictured with sort of a crunchy top. It rose high which is how I like my pound cakes to turn out. :-) Follow the directions and you can't go wrong. Definitely worth trying.

It was really good although I put the heavy cream in before the flour so I had to add 1/2 cup more cream but it still came out great. I'll make it again. The right way!

The best pound cake recipe I have ever encountered. It never lasts more than a day when I make it and is also adaptable to suit other bakeware if a tube pan is not at-hand.
