Can use 8 teaspoons of dried basil to substitute (1 tsp dried = 1 tbsp fresh, 8 tbsp = 1/2c)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shallots (finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
  • 1 pound asparagus (trimmed and cut in to 1" pieces)
  • 5 ounces frozen peas (or 1c fresh peas, thawed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or more)
  • 1/2 cup basil (fresh)

Directions

  1. Cook shallots in butter and fry over medium heat until soft (4 minutes)
  2. Stir in asparagus, peas and salt and cover with foil (or lid) cook about 8 minutes, stir in the basil and add salt to taste.
