Ingredients

  • 1/2 asparagus (kilo, fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • 5 tablespoons parmesan (shaved)
  • balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. Wash and completely dry the asparagus. Coat it with olive oil
  2. Place the asparagus in a single layer in a pan on medium heat. Leave them in place without stirring until they start to brown and then turn them to brown the other side, about 4 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove from heat and add the salt while still hot. Sprinkle with parmesan and balsamic vinegar, serve immediately.

Neither I nor my family are big asparagus fans. No matter the health benefits, I always try to stay away from cooking it. This recipe really helps give them the right taste that everyone can agree on. Using olive oil and vinegar really gives it that something extra, and the cheese works surprisingly well. Whenever I want to add more asparagus to my diet, this is the perfect recipe to use!
