  • 1 garlic clove (small, minced)
  • 4 ounces edamame (shelled)
  • 5 ounces mixed vegetables (such as shiitake mushroom, carrot, french beans and broccoli)
  • 8 ounces leafy greens (sliced lengthwise, used as a base instead of noodles)
  • 0.25 ounces wakame (dried, seaweed)
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • soy sauce (low salt, to taste, approx 2 T)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger root (fresh grated)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli (or more, if you prefer, finely chopped)
  • 0.5 ounces sesame seeds

    Directions

    1. Fresh or frozen vegetables can be used for this dish. Place garlic, edamame and vegetables in a pan or wok and heat for a minute or two at a high temperature while stirring. Add wakame, boiling water, soy sauce, ginger and chilli and cook until vegetables are done, but still firm. Stir occasionally. Serve and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
