Adorable and delicious! More apple, less crust! Perfect!

Waiting on the pies to come out of the oven - they look and smell beautiful!

I just finished eating the ones I made shortly ago. They taste fabulous especially with some vanilla ice cream on or beside it! I would rate it 5 stars, but I had to end up making 2 batches of the pie filling and use 5 apples total instead of 4. I'm not sure if I carved out too much of the apples so that may be the reason I needed the second batch of pie filling. Not sure yet. I also had to put it in the oven almost double the time. That might have been that there wasn't enough egg wash to make the crust brown. I would recommend to anyone to make this recipie, just plan on the extra ingredients incase.

Turned out delicious, directions were awesome, but I did have to put the oven on broil for 2-3 minutes at the end in order to brown the crust.

Delicious, healthier dessert and easy! I used Gala & Granny Smith. Only difficulty was coring the apples. I scored it first with a knife, then scooped it out with a spoon.

A cute idea! Used gala apples. Used apple pie spice instead of just cinnamon. Used a milk wash instead of egg wash. Yummy.
