Enjoy all the deliciousness of apple pie in a healthy form with this creamy, cinnamon-spiked smoothie.


  • 1 gala apple (cored and chopped)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup plain low fat greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

    Very autumn flavor! I loved it bc of the apple and spices. The only thing thats a bit difficult is eating the blended apple at the end.

    I made it for my kids and the absolutely loved it!! We substituted it with almond milk yogurt and soy milk!!

    Absolutely amazing! A comment suggested using a frozen apple, i tried that and it turned out too thick, i had to add more milk. It tasted amazing though!! I suggest using half frozen half fresh apple, or fresh apple and ice

    The flavor itself was very good, but the consistency was very runny for a smoothie. I would probably use frozen apples too the next time I made it, but there would definitely be a next time as I highly enjoyed it. Also, I would calculate your own calories, as mine was about 300 for the smoothie instead of their estimated 500!

    it was very easy to make and very tasty. just don't leave it hanging out too long or else it'll go brown and start separating the liquid

    Pretty good, although I wasn’t a fan of the texture the blended apples made, a bit slimy and chunky.

    i liked it. would recommend increasing maple, nutmeg and cinnamon for more flavor. i used sugar free maple syrup so didnt feel bad adding extra 😁

    This was delicious! Removed peel from apple because I don’t like the taste. I used a non-frozen banana, about a half cup of ice, and vanilla yoghurt. This is very good and I will be making it again for sure. Some other reviewers saying it’s got a chunky or applesauce texture- I’d have to say it must be a blender issue, because mine turned out liquid.

    Very good recipe! I would skin the apple before putting it in the blender though. Wasn’t a fan of apple skin in it. Add an extra dash of cinnamon if you prefer a stronger flavor like me!

    I don't know if reminded me of an apple pie but it was still yummy! I added Plexus vanilla protein and the collagen in my smoothie.

    It was so delicious everyone loved it! We substituted the recipe since we had pure cinnamon maple syrup from the farmers market so we skipped the cinnamon and nutmeg it was in the maple syrup. We used 1/4 of milk and two scoops of vanilla ice cream and two Gala apples and next time we will peel the bananas and freeze them to save on the time that we used to slice the peeling off. We will make this every Sunday as a treat for our family and it taste like a slice of warm apple pie with a scoop of ice cream on top!!!

    Taste is amazing and totally surprising. will make again. I used fat free Greek yogurt and for this only to have 1 tsp per serving of maple syrup its an amazing recipe. P.S no chunks at all in my smoothie because I used a vitamix blender that evenly blended everything including the peel

    This tastes amazing! I’m tempted to eat cookies with it but that would defeat the purpose. I used brown ripened bananas which made this much sweeter, left the peels on the apples, and pure maple syrup.

    It was a good smoothie but I didn't have frozen bananas, so it was room temp which isn't great for a smoothie, the apples left chunks, and it honestly didnt taste like a apple pie. Sorry but this isn't on my list anymore.

    turned out perfect. I did not have a frozen bannana but ice was a good substitute. the whole family loved it!

    Texture is off putting. Blended longer to reduce the applesauce texture, still not that great.

    The smoothie was mediocre, it didn't really taste like apple pie, more like banana apple. The texture was that of apple sauce, and it was much too sweet. If I am to make this again, I definitely recommend half a banana, and double the liquid.

    I found this tasty and it reminded me of the flavors in apple pie. I used a large apple and a small banana. I thought it was filling and an appealing way to get my daily apple!

    amazing! would go a bit lighter on the bananas though.
