Description

Nothing says fall like an apple cake. This apple bundt cake is bursting with the flavors of autumn, from your favorite apple variety to cinnamon and honey. Add your favorite type of chopped nut for an extra crunch.

Ingredients

4 apples (cubed)
200 grams brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 lemon juice
cinnamon (to taste)
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
nuts (mashed in pieces, to taste)

Directions

1Put the apple cubes in a bowl.
2Add the lemon juice, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
3Add the sugar and honey, set aside for 1/2 hour.
4Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
5Grease a bundt pan with margarine, and dust with flour. Set aside.
6Beat the eggs together with the oil. Add this mixture to the apples.
7Add the flour and baking powder, mix well with a spoon until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
8Add the nuts, and stir again with the spoon.
9Place the dough in the cake pan, and bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until cooked through.
10Check cooking with a toothpick.
11Remove from oven, let cool, and unmold.
