Description

This delicate and delicious dessert is made with puff pastry and a sweet jam made from angel hair squash jam. The flaky dough sandwiches a layer of sweet jam that is spinkled with cinnamon. A quick egg wash before baking ensures that the pastry has a shiny and golden finish. This recipe is made with just 5 ingredients and is ready in about 40 minutes for a simple and quick dessert.

Ingredients

  • flour
  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 1 can jam (angel hair squash)
  • cinnamon
  • 1 eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220C.
  2. Sprinkle the kneading surface with flour.
  3. Place one of the pastry sheets on the surface. Spread the angel hair on the sheet, leaving a 2 centimeter margin on all sides.
  4. Add cinnamon to taste.
  5. Beat an egg, brush the edges of the sheet and place the other sheet on top. Seal the borders with a fork.
  6. Brush some egg on the top of the pastry sheets for a crispy texture.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
