Description
Classic comfort food but better, with cream cheese and buttery Ritz cracker crumbs. Everyone will be asking for the recipe! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.
Ingredients

- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 Tbsp. salt (for pasta water)
- 12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese (1 1/2 cups shredded)
- 4 oz. Gruyere cheese (or Swiss, 1/2 cup shredded)
- 4 oz. Gouda cheese (1/2 cup shredded)
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 1 lb. elbow macaroni
- 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter (for sauce)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp. mustard powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt (for sauce)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper (or white pepper)
- 4 oz. round buttery crackers (like Ritz, 4 oz. is about 36 crackers)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for topping)

Directions
- Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the salt.
- Using a cheese grater or food processor fitted with a grating attachment, grate the Cheddar, Gruyere or Swiss, and Gouda cheeses. Set aside.

Way too dry as directed. Cheese choices not ideal. Sour cream or Crème fraîche helps.

Try adding some good seasonings cause that mac n cheese is bland no offense . Also I do agree that it was creamy and also make sure the pasta is cooked thoroughly. Although my family devoured that and left no crumbs.

Took a long time to make and it is a bit bland. But we didn’t hate it. Very creamy. May add bacon next time as suggested on another review.

Turned out great! It was very rich, creamy, and filling. Thinking to add bacon in future!

Was creamy and the topping was crunchy but I still felt like something was missing spice wise.

i've made it two times-- the second time I put Pepper Jack cheese in --in place of the swiss cheese.
It was amazing and there wasn't any left. My guests kept going back for more.

Don't hesitate to add extra salt and pepper at the wnd and maybe more of the other seasonings.

I substituted with almond milk because it's all I had in my fridge. I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess of it, not too thick. My husband and I enjoyed it. Will def make again!

It was amazing. I did substitute different cheeses due to not having the specific ones, however, it still tasted amazing! I'm very satisfied with it.
