  • 1 shallot (large, diced, you could use onions but shallots add much better flavor)

  • 3 cups 2% milk (You could sub fat free or whole depending on your preference)
  • 6 ounces smoked gouda (grated, sharp cheddar would also work)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
