- 2 pounds elk meat (ground, can be swapped for any other ground meat of choice)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup Granny Smith apple (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons dried sage
- 4 slices bacon (diced)
- 2 teaspoons fine sea salt

Used ground venison instead. Should have slightly cooked the bacon first then crumbled it In with meat as I was worried that it wasn’t completely cooked inside the loaf. Was really good and leftovers are great with sliced pickled jalapeños!
