  • 12 ounces ziti (or any pasta shape)
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage (I strongly recommend using “spicy” Italian sausage)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 handfuls kale leaves (roughly-chopped, stems removed)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (I used 2% low fat)
  • shredded parmesan cheese
  • crushed red pepper flakes

The flavor does come from the sausage so buy one you like. This is a very Cheesy dish and can get somewhat greasy. Overall a a nice change of pace.

Highly recommend it!*****
I made some really minor modifications to the recipe, such as coating the pasta with a small bit of olive oil to avoid dryness before adding the rest of the ingredients and it was great! Quick & easy and my family loved it :)

Good! i used farfalle pasta instead of ziti. I also used spinach and kale. With some extra seasoning.

It turned out good. But it needed more flavor. So I added onions green and red bell peppers. Salt and pepper. It came out great after that....I would do this again.
Delicious, but had to play with the recipe by adding marinara sauce and it could use more sausage.

Very tasty - next time I'll swap spinach for kale and add just a bit of sauce!

Pretty good. I agree with Brenna, adding a zucchini is a nice touch and added flavor. This is a good recipe to "play around with".
Excellent 👌🏼I would like to put a little bit of ricotta cheese to make this pasta perfect and maybe just a touch of marinara sauce

I would add a little lemon and olive oil to make a little olive oil coating for the pasta, and I added zucchini as well. Healthy and delicious
Easy to make and the whole family liked it. And for a picky 5 and 3 year old, that's a win! Used spinach instead of kale.

Great, quick meal that the family enjoyed but didn't go crazy over. I switched kale for spinach because we aren't huge fans of kale in our house.

I really like this dish, leftovers are a great lunch. Could easily be modified to personal tastes.

Pretty good, a little dry. I will add some crushed tomatoes next time.

The flavor is amazing but it was kind of dry tasting. I made it twice and it was dry both times. I love the dish but it needs some modifications to the cooking process.

Amazing. I don't know what the other reviewer did wrong, it was full of flavor and easily one of my favorite recipes I've found through here.

This was so gross. Very bland and dry even with sauce added.
