Description

Three types of chocolate—dark chocolate, unsweetened cocoa powder, and chocolate chips—make these brownies triply delectable. The addition of buttermilk and vegetable oil to the batter makes them ultra-moist--and keeps them that way for days. They’re ready to eat in about an hour, and pack a surprising six grams of fiber per serving. Serve them warm, at room temperature, or even chilled the next day, with or without a dusting of confectioners’ sugar.

Ingredients

150 grams flour
120 grams sugar
2 eggs
100 grams dark chocolate
30 grams cocoa (bittersweet powdered)
100 milliliters buttermilk (or milk)
50 grams vegetable oil
5 grams baking powder
salt
50 grams chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 180C.
2Melt the chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. While it cools, beat the eggs with the sugar in a bowl until light and foamy.
3Add the cocoa and a pinch of salt, mix well (it is also possible to use a mixer).
4Add the melted chocolate, flour, baking powder, buttermilk, oil, and chocolate chips.
5Line a rectangular baking pan (24 x 19 centimeters) with wax paper, butter it and pour the batter inside.
6Level the surface and bake for 25 minutes.
7Remove the brownies from the oven, let them cool and cut them into squares, you may add chocolate icing on top.
