How to Turn a Kitchen Sponge into an Ice Pack
This is a neat, super easy trick that can be handy in a pinch. You can make ice packs for lunch boxes or another quick trip with ease just with kitchen sponges and plastic sandwich bags! The best part is the sponges also re-absorb their liquids and stay neat too.
My Kitchen Escapades came up with the idea, and it's a great one. All you need to do is soak your sponge in water, place it in a leak-proof, plastic sandwich bag, then lay it flat side down in the freezer overnight! Use your ice-packs as you would normally, and re-freeze them after you're done.
