How to Poach Salmon in the Dishwasher
The first question you may be asking yourself is, "Why?" Even if a person cancook fish in the dishwasher, why should they? Ignore the part of your brain that resists the silly novelty of a recipe like this one! Do it to entertain our friends and family. Do it because it's funny and silly and why not try it once? Do it because the poached salmon actually turns out pretty darn delicious too! Ultimately, haven't we all done crazier things for less?

Chef Bob Blumer came up with the method a long time ago, having discovered that the average temperature of the normal cycle on a dishwasher is approximately 130 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit - the perfect temperature for poaching salmon! For this, you'll need a fairly standard dishwasher with a normal cycle and a long, slow drying system.
