I've used both grated apple and organic, unsweetened apple sauce and both worked well. I've also used a little bit of powdered peanut butter. Instead of a cookie cutter, I rolled out between two sheets of waxed paper and cut it into small squares. My pup and the neighbors pups loved them!! I baked at 375 and turned them every 5 minutes so that they'd be more crunchy, cooked about 5 more mins than the recipe specifies. Be careful, they will burn if you do not watch them. Also, I found that it blended better if I whisked the egg, apple, pumpkin and peanut butter together before adding it to the ground oats.

This was fun and easy to make with my five year old daughter. I added a couple spoonfuls of pet friendly peanut butter (xylitol free). My dogs love them! Will make again for sure.

I added banana, peanut butter, and blueberries to mine instead of apple. Cooked on 400 for 13 minutes, turned out nice and crispy! Will make again.
