  • 3 lbs ground beef (a combination of 2 lbs ground beef and 1 lb ground pork is really good!)
  • 1 onion (medium, minced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsps italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 12 tsps sugar
  • 12 tsp cinnamon
  • 16 ozs tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese (or 1 lb cottage cheese)
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsps parsley (minced)
  • 34 cup cheese (freshly-grated parmesan)
  • 11 lasagna noodles (I use no-boil)
  • 6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
