Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • black pepper (fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsps brown sugar (packed)
  • 48 ozs crushed tomatoes (with basil)
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts (soaked, see note)
  • 2 tbsps nutritional yeast
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion (small, peeled, tangerine sized or equivalent)
  • 11/2 cups cooked green (or brown lentils, rinsed, drained, a 15 oz can is fine)
  • 3 tbsps nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsps flour (vital wheat gluten)
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 1/2 cup seasoning (store-bought breadcrumbs)
  • 1 lb pasta (anellini, or small pasta of your choice)
