  • 1 green chile (fresh, finely chopped, de-seeded, if desired, for less heat)

  • 1 12 tbsps ground coriander
  • 2 tsps ground turmeric
  • 14 tsp asafetida (powder) (optional)
  • 5 ozs toor dal
  • 5 ozs urad dal
  • 5 ozs dal (mung)
  • 5 ozs channa dal
  • 29 ozs crushed tomatoes (peeled)
  • 4 cups chicken stock (or 4 cups beef stock or 4 cups vegetable stock)
  • 23 cup coconut cream
  • 14 cup chopped cilantro (coarsely)
