Ingredients

  • 2 skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
  • 1 lb extra firm tofu (drained in colander then cubed)
  • 1 onion (small)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (Julie prefers crimini)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsps cashew butter (smooth)
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1/8 tsp african bird pepper (you can substitute other pepper, to taste - African bird pepper is VERY hot)
  • 3 tsps tumeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (Ceylon preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsps ground cumin
  • 3 tsps ground cardamom
