Great crowd pleasing sandwich. I made this for a potluck for my daughters theater group, and it was very convenient that I could make this the evening before. The sandwich does not get soggy, but I imagine it is important to use the suggested Italian crusty loaf to maintain this. I did not use the mushrooms, but rather used green and red peppers. There was a lot of meat, so possibly next time I will either use two loafs, or less meat. This sandwich was well received and was completely eaten!
