Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup hazelnuts (1 3/4 ounces of 49 grams)
  • 11/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar (or packed light)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 1 lb plums (ripe but firm, about 4 standard black ones or 12 smaller Italian plums; I used a mix of both)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 large egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp table salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • grated nutmeg (optional)
