Ingredients

  • 1 12 gallons water
  • 14 cup salt
  • 48 ozs lager beer
  • 1 cup crab boil (liquid)
  • 3 12 lbs seaweed (fresh, rockweed rinsed in water)
  • 3 lbs new potatoes (scrubbed)
  • 2 lbs yellow onions (left whole and ends trimmed outer papery skin discarded)
  • 2 white corn (cobs, shucked silk removed and cut in half crosswise)
  • 2 corn (cobs yellow, shucked silk removed and cut in half crosswise)
  • 4 heads garlic (cut in 12 crosswise)
  • 3 artichokes
  • 2 lbs italian sweet sausage (cut into 2 to 3 inch pieces)
  • 2 lbs portuguese chorizo
  • 7 12 lbs lobsters (rinsed)
  • 3 tbsps essence
  • 4 lbs clams (live, scrubbed soaked and well rinsed in 2 to 3 changes of water to rid of sand)
  • 2 lbs mussels (live, scrubbed soaked rinsed and debearded)
  • 1 lb asparagus (thick, tough ends discarded trimmed to the same length)
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsps fresh lemon juice
  • cayenne
  • french bread (warm)
  • 2 12 tbsps paprika
  • 2 tbsps salt
  • 2 tbsps garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp oregano (dried leaf)
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
