  • 1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 1 cup whole kernel corn, drain

  • 8 ozs tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 onion (small, chopped onions)
  • 1 green bell pepper (small, seeded and chopped)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (uncooked broken up into small pieces, do not pre-cook it will cook in the casserole dish, see recipe heading for seasoning)
  • 141/2 ozs diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 8 slices bacon (uncooked, cut in half)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or more if desired)
