Ingredients

  • 16 ozs penn pasta, cook and drain (measure 16 ounces uncooked, I use half of a 900-gram package)
  • 3 cups cooked ham (cubed, or use as much as desired)
  • 5 tbsps butter
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt (or 1/2 teaspoon white salt)
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional or to taste)
  • 1 onion (small, finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (fresh, or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups cream (half-and-half, or use half milk and cream)
  • 2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 41/2 cups cheddar cheese (grated, a little more won't hurt)
