Ingredients

  • nonstick spray
  • 2 cups baking mix (bisquick)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold water (tbsp more if the dough won t come together while kneading)
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean, extra lean)
  • 1 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano (lightly crushed you can leave this out if it makes the dish taste a little too italian optional)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (fresh ground)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic (granules)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (taste)
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper (chopped seeded green bell peppers or 14 cup red)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (fine dry)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup white wine (beer or 12 cup broth or 12 cup water something wet)
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (heavy cream)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard (taste)
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard (dijon, desired)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (fresh ground)
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • 4 tbsps baking mix (bisquick)
  • 1/2 cup onion (thinly sliced, taste)
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz)
