I used sesame oil instead of canola and reduced its quantity to about ¾ of a cup. I chose a chili sauce with a high sugar content so that the shrimps could caramelize on the outside during the grilling. I kept the shrimp in the marinade for about four hours, so that all the flavors could seep through. I served over sticky white rice. An excellent meal.
