It’s National Tequila Day! This smooth beverage is made from the blue agave plant surrounding the area of its namesake, Santiago de Tequila! The tequila sunrise cocktail is named for its signature colors, which resemble the rich, red-orange hues of a sunrise. The denser ingredients in the drink – usually crème de cassis or grenadine – sink to the bottom of the glass, while the orange juice rests on top.
