David Feller – Founder & Chief Eating Officer (CEO)
Dave has been cooking for 25 years and hates mustard. He was an early member of Half.com in Philly, running Marketing & Strategy, prior to the acquisition by eBay. He moved to California to continue working for eBay as GM of a large portion of the US business. Dave left eBay in 2006 to be VP Marketing & Business Operations for StumbleUpon. Through an acquisition, Dave ended back up at eBay…again. He finally left in late 2008 to pursue his passion, a site now called Yummly. You can reach Dave directly at dave [at] yummly [dot] com.
Vadim is a pescetarian inherited his love of food from his grandmother, but didn’t pay enough attention when she tried to teach him to cook. Lately he has been trying to make up for that and his selfish interest is that Yummly will make him a cook at last. Vadim was one of the original developers at Half.com and later its Head Engineer. After moving from Philadelphia to San Francisco (for the food, of course) he built messaging middleware as an architect at eBay, web-scale image search as a founding engineer at Attributor, and one of the web’s busiest ad servers as the chief architect at AdBrite. Sean McGlinchey – Overseer of the Food Plate (formerly Pyramid)
While Sean’s tastes are broad, three things bring his food passion to a full boil: summer meals, ice cream and craft beer. His grandparents owned and operated The Guernsey Cow, a family restaurant and suburban Philadelphia landmark that sold ice cream and caramels made right on the premises. Today, Sean honors their legacy by making his own ice cream at home, where he happily lives with a creative kitchen genius and two hungry children only a few miles from one of America’s best breweries. Serve Sean a heap of Carolina pulled pork, a tasty local brew and an intriguing flavor of ice cream and you’ll have yourself a new friend for life. Jamie Hoover – The way things look
Jamie wet his appetite for Web design at architecture school in Philadelphia, where he learned to balance art and engineering. He sampled graphic design and software development and before cutting his teeth at eBay as its first user interface designer. While working there for nearly a decade, he fundamentally redesigned every major function of the site and drove the creation of a proprietary interface language. To add some spice, he went on to help improve the Amazon and Yahoo! search experience and launched Bix, a competition-based entertainment Website. Today at Yummly, Jamie develops the front-end architecture to innovate the way people experience and discover food they enjoy. Jamie’s always had a curiosity about the art of cooking, the magic of the kitchen, the crafting of tasty dishes and finds great satisfaction in bringing the comfort and know-how of making nutritious, delicious, food to anyone’s table. Beyond being an admitted coffee addict, Jamie enjoys the simple things in life from farm-fresh produce, to shoo fly pie, pulled pork, tuna casserole and monkey cake. Anil Mantena – Culinary Software Engineer
I fondly remember eating ripe mangoes and drinking coconut water on my summer vacations at my grandparents village in Southern India. I believe that might be how my love for food started. I hadn't really done any significant cooking until I moved to the US when I was 20. My early experiments with cooking were mostly disasters that most of my friends still remember. I think I have come a long way since then and now cook different cuisines regularly. My career started with an amazing stint at Half.com in Philadelphia where I worked with the greatest group of people I ever met. From there I came to the Bay Area, and after a few years at eBay, I went to work at AdBrite before finally joining Yummly. I have always loved writing code, working on different platforms, and working with different languages.

He developed his palette for fine foods at UC Santa Barbara, University College London, and later while working on User Experience and Search Engine Optimization at Wize, and later Nextag after acquisition. He enjoys making simple foods excellent by using organic fruits and vegetables from the Farmer's Market. He believes that nothing can't be improved by simply adding a heavy dose of salt. Shelley Adler - Culinary Wordsmith
Shelley was born on the coast of Maine where the lobstah is abundant and the chowdah is wicked good. One summer in Maine, she competed in both lobster and blueberry pie eating contests at the Rockland Lobster Fest. While her youth and size thwarted a victory, she was excited about all that free lobster she got to eat. After a few impressionable years, her family relocated to Florida, on an island in the Gulf of Mexico named Sanibel. Shelley’s father taught her how to fish and her mom showed her how to make a mean key lime pie. A semester abroad during college really took her love of food to the next level. She sampled everything from the traditional English breakfast, to French bouillabaisse, Italian gelato, and Spanish tapas. Shelley has a degree in Marketing from The University of Florida and has worked very closely with all things food and wine since graduating.
