4th of July Grilling: Skewers and Kabobs

Just in time for your 4th of July grill-a-thon, here are a few of the best kabob and skewer recipes. Some are veggie friendly, like the drunken pineapple skewer (tequila lovers rejoice!), and others have unexpected spice and meat combos.

The first day of summer has come and gone, and we can only hope for warmer weather from here on out (especially here in the Bay area). With that warmer weather comes music festival season. People are still talking about how awesome Bonnaroo was and still have Lollapalooza to look forward to. Is Everything Better Fried?

In case you missed it, Fried Kool-Aid was trending worldwide on Twitter this week. Apparently, a food vendor at the San Diego County Fair served about 9,000 deep fried Kool-Aid doughnut-like treats to fair goers. If this sugary beverage can be even more desirable fried, one has to wonder – what else is better when fried?
