What is the main source of inspiration for your recipes?
Right now the main source of inspiration for my recipes is what I’m learning in culinary school. In my spare time, I also love flipping through cookbooks, getting inspiration from ”Food Porn” sites like FoodGawker and TasteSpotting, and reading other food blogs. I also love going to farmer’s markets and depending on what’s there, I can usually come up with an idea on what to make for dinner.
If you could have one food while stranded on a desert island, what would it be?
If I had to pick one thing it would be fresh pasta, either with a chunky tomato sauce or pesto. It is my ultimate comfort food. Don’t forget the parmigiano-reggiano!

I would recommend that a new reader try my Healthy Carrot Pumpkin Spelt Muffins. This is probably my most popular recipe on the blog to date! These muffins are incredibly moist, flavorful, and also healthy. I love working with different grains and experimenting in the kitchen.
