How would you describe your culinary style?
Modern Italian. I grew up in Italy and I learned to cook watching my mom and reading Italian recipe magazines. The result is that even when I give a shot to other cuisines I end up with something very Italian.  For instance, I buy wonton wrappers and end up with ravioli….

What is the main source of inspiration for your recipes?
The fridge. I open it and see what is in there. Whatever draws my attention or is about to expire is what gets cooked. If inspiration doesn’t struck immediately I surf the web looking for inspiration. Also, I am a cooking show junkie. They are always on in the background and even if I don’t pay attention to them sometimes something sticks and shows up in my recipes.

If you could have one food while stranded on a desert island, what would it be? 
I’d have to go with pizza! The Italian version: thin, bubbly and topped with tomato sauce and good mozzarella. As long as I have some good carbs I can survive (and I can use whatever I find on the island as toppings! ;)

Choosing a recipe is like choosing your favorite child, but since I’m Italian and just declared my love for pizza: Grilled Pizza. It is one of my favorite recipes because it allows everyone to get a wood fired quality pizza without the wood fire oven.

What is your ultimate guilty food pleasure? 
Ripe, fresh, flavorful, cherry tomatoes spreaded with goat cheese. Love them and they are almost guilt free.
